Synopsis :-

Tahaan (Purav Bhandare) lives with his grandfather (Victor Banerjee), his mother Haba (Sarika) and older sister Zoya (Sana Shaikh,) in the serene meadows of Kashmir. They all live in the hope that someday Tahaan's father, who's been missing for over three years, will return. The death of his grandfather leads the local moneylender Lalaji and his manager Kuka (Rahul Khanna) to take away the assets of the family, including their pet donkey Birbal, against repayment of a pending loan. Now, life for Tahaan, his mother and sister takes a turn towards rougher pastures. For Tahaan, bringing his favourite donkey Birbal back home becomes the sole purpose in life. After various efforts at money-making, Tahaan approaches Lalaji with the prospect of regaining his lost asset but is devastated to learn that an old man Subhan Darr (Anupam Kher) has bought Birbal and taken him across the mountains… the same mountains from where Tahaan's father never returned. But Tahaan sums up courage and chases after Subhan. The prophetic old man doesn't befriend Tahaan at first sight but slowly warms up to this energetic and determined soul whose love for Birbal is paramount. But at the end of the journey, Tahaan is further disheartened when Subhan gifts Birbal to his orphaned eight-year-old nephew, and even the long-time helper of Subhan called Zafar (Rahul Bose), cannot be of any assistance to poor Tahaan. On his way back home, Tahaan finally encounters a teenage lad Idrees, who convinces him that his efforts would never be sufficient to get Birbal back. Instead, he promises to get Birbal back for a favour. All Tahaan will have to do is carry a package across the mountains on his next journey. Seeing Tahaan's eagerness, Idrees hands him a grenade. He tells him that when the time is right he will be told what is to be done. Tahaan sets off on his second journey with Subhan and Zafar, the grenade and package tucked away under Birbal's saddle. What is the price that Tahaan will have to pay for Birbal? And how far will he go to save his only meaning in life? Tahaan is now at a crossroad where his ultimate decision would determine his fate… "Will he get Birbal back?"

Synopsis :
With her mother suddenly divorcing her father and leaving their comfortable home in Kolkata, Nitya finds herself in the new environs of Navi (new) Mumbai.
Finding her bearings, in a new city, letting go of her ambition to study in the USA for her MBA, and to begin work at a call centre is tough. She finds it a little easier however to cope with the situation, courtesy her newfound friend, Ritesh Jetmalani.
Ritesh is the nicest guy on the planet, and maybe even in the universe. He does everything with full sincerity. In fact he confesses that he has only two vices, one is that he's always running late (mostly because he's stopped to help someone), and the other is that he loves to eat non-Veg food (he swears he'll quit one day). His third vice [which he won't admit] is his passion for girlfriend Kirti Wagaskar,a ,selfish, but charming young lady looking for a short cut to a better life. (She has him on standby in case she doesn't land a richer catch.)
Nitya's mother Vinita Sen is troubled by her failed marriage. She hopes to find the new start she needs, in New Mumbai. She is befriended by the women in the colony and joins their kitty parties. She knows her daughter is angry with her and blames her for their situation, but believes that this was their best alternative to find their own place under the sun.
Vinita's father had left her some shares and she traces her father's old stock broking house to fiqure out the maze of the stock market reality. Here she meets Firoz Sethna an ethical but cranky and eccentric stock broker who teaches her the ropes of correct investing. Nitya gets pulled into daily life at the call centre; she and Ritesh develop a wonderful relationship. She tries to warn him that Kirti is using him. Ritesh believes that all human beings are essentially good and says he loves Kirti for her spirit, sure she pushes him around but she won't always be like that, she'll realize how much he loves her and things will change.
In the meantime, the group of kitty party ladies, feel, that Vinita is up to something dubious, they haven't got the gossip on her... And why did she leave her husband anyways? Her house is getting swankier, so is her attire, she keeps meeting a strange man. When Vinita is confronted by these suspicious ladies who imagine the worst of her, she shares her stock market fortunes and soon kitty conversations about TV soaps switch to conversations on Indian business and investments.
Kirti Wagaskar is no ordinary middle class girl; she plans to marry RICH. She hates her elder sister Parimal's lifewho is a housewife to her grouchy traditional husband, Ganpatrao. Serving Coffee at Costa's, she spends an entire month's salary on a Gucci bag and dreams of landing Yash Modi, a billionaire by birth.
As life's uncanny logic kicks in, she meets Yash and her interaction with him tips the calm of modern colony. Nitya is caught in the cross fire as Kirti plays Ritesh and Nitya to suit her whims.
Yash Modi's father Ketan Modi owns a large share of the financial call centre "M & M' that Ritesh and Nitya work in. Vinita and her colony friends have recently invested in the company based on news that Yash Modi marriage has been arranged with the daughter of the owner Macmillan financial group.
When Kirti realizes that Yash has no intention of marrying her, she agrees to marry Ritesh. Ritesh knows nothing of Kirti and Yash's relationship. He is thrilled.
With all kitty ladies invested emotionally and financially in the company, Ritesh marrying Kirti is best for everyone and Nitya, despite her feelings for Ritesh, watches the wedding morning arrive in silence. If Yash married Kirti it would break Ritesh's golden heart and spell financial disaster for the colony's new amateur investors, who are banking on the Modi Macmillian tie up, to improve their savings and investing prospectives.
Vinita sees her daughter's dilemma and finally tells her the real reason for her coming to New Mumbai. Her husband had left her for a younger woman, and she didn't want her daughter to deal with the pressure or gossip nor did she want to be dependent him. Nitya realizes that her mother getting together with these amateur investors who have switched from watching soaps to watching CNBC, to look for investing opportunities, even if they are "aunties" is cool after all.
Is love is meant to be? How does Vinita and her daughter find their place in the masala of the New Mumbai world, with the stock market fluctuations, kitty parties, soap operas and the changing tides of New India.

Synopsis :
Aditya (Shahid Kapur), a defeated industrialist, is even more broken as the girl he loves is getting married. Unable to muster up the courage to return home, he drifts out of the gathering and aimlessly boards a train, bounding away into the night. As destiny would have it, on the train he meets Geet (Kareena Kapoor) – a beautiful but annoyingly talkative girl who is leaving Mumbai to go her hometown – Bhatinda (Punjab). The Train is the story of Vishal Dixit, whose boring, ordinary life changes when he meets a beautiful woman, catapulting him into a world of romance, lust and temptation.
Vishal Dixit (Emraan Hashmi), a regular middle class man, is settled in Bangkok with his wife, Anjali (Sayali Bhagat) and their 5 year old daughter, Nikki. Anjali and Vishal are trying to hold on to their deteriorating marriage which is already under tremendous pressure
One ordinary day, on his way to work, Vishal meets Roma (Geeta Basra), a beautiful, captivating woman. The attraction between them is instantaneous. Mission Istanbul is a film by Apoorva Lakhia and stars Vivek Oberoi, Zayed Khan, Shriya Saran, Sunil Shetty, Shweta Bhardwaj and Abhishek Bachchan. Zayed Khan plays an up and coming journalist who is doing very well is offered a job at Al Johara, a news network based in Istanbul, Turkey. Al Johara is quite comparable to Al Jazeera who also air messages from terrorists quite regularly. Mission Istanbul is an action/adventure kinda film which tackles many of the current international issues, mainly terrorism. It was released last week on the 25th. Please do let me know if you like/dislike it.Music of MI is composed by Shamir Tandon, Anu Malik, Mika Singh and Chirantan Bhatt. Doesn't seem like the collaboration between the four has resulted in anything above average. I was hoping something like the best of the four composers, but I'm disappointed. I guess I was expecting too much. These songs aren't that bad altogether, but they are at the same time not so good either. Anyways, just try 'em for yourselves. Cheers.

Awarapan is the latest film from Mohit Suri (director of Woh Lamhe). It stars Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran and Rehan Khan.Awarapan's music is by Pritam. He's come up with a couple of pretty good songs for this album. Toh Phir Aao and Mahiya sung by Mustafa Zahid and Suzanne respectively are quite good. I hope you enjoy this album.

Synopsis :
In college Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapur) was numero uno-in academics, sports, dramatics and touted as the next cover of Time magazine. But five years after winning the best-student-of-the-year trophy from his architectural college, he's wondering why a brilliant architect like him, with designs to set the Canadian landscape on fire, is still struggling to find that One Big Chance to showcase his mettle.
It's almost as though some negative kismat is following him around because whenever something good is about to happen, it seems doomed to fail.
Desperate to fight this cussed kismat that's hell bent on playing such mean tricks on him, Raj meets a quirky oracle, Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla). She tells him that soon his stars will change his stars and make everything work in his favour; but for all this to happen, Raj has first to find his lucky charm and never let go of it. But she tells him no more, leaving Raj mystified, trying to figure out what this charm could be.

Go is directed by Manish Srivastav and stars Gautam Gupta, Nisha Kothari, Kay Kay Menon and Rajpal Yadav in leading roles. It's about two rich kids who run away from home for some reason but then they get in all sorts of trouble and get chased by the 'bad guys'. That's what I've read about it on the net. It's music is composed by Sneha Khanwalka. The songs are surprisingly better that I expected. Since it's a low budget film, I had very low expectations too. I guess you can't read a book by it's cover after all.

Zindagi Tere Naam is director Ashu Trikha's fourth film. It stars Mithun Chakrabarty, Ranjitha, Diya Mirza, Priyanka Mehta and Aseem Ali Khan. I think it was released some time this month. Music of ZTN is composed by Sajid Wajid. I feel like I've heard that first song, Tu Mujhe Soch Kabhi, before but can't quite remember. It's a nice song, probably nice song of the lot.

Synopsis :

Hijack

Synopsis :
Hijack is an action thriller with an emotional twist. The protagonist of the film is Vikram Madan (Shiney Ahuja) who is an ex pilot in a commercial airlines and now works as a maintenance engineer in a ground job at the Chandigarh airport. The film marks the hero's journey of his life bringing him face to face with his demons from the past, where the hero is faced with a hijack situation with his daughter being stuck in the middle of it. Having lost his wife earlier in a similar situation, it is up to Vikram now to get over his past and save the day. The terrorists of the aircraft demand that their mastermind Rasheed (KK Raina) be released in exchange of the innocent lives of the passengers. Synopsis :
At the end of the worst day in his life, Arun Prajapati (Salman Khan) angrily rages against God for making his life miserable. STORY LINE:-
Singh Is Kinng, the most keenly awaited romantic comedy of 2008, revolves around a gang of crooks transformed by a good man and his selfless love for a pretty girl...

Lakhan Singh aka Lucky (Sonu Sood) is the 'king' of the Australian underworld accompanied by his associates (played by Javed Jaffrey, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Yashpal Sharma, Kamal Chopra and Sudhanshu Pande.) Far away, in a small village in Punjab, where Lucky was born, there exists someone more notorious than him - Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar). The village is fed up of his magnanimity, which has resulted in a number of hilariously disastrous situations. Out of desperation, they decide to send him on a long trip (that will keep him out of the village for a while!) to bring Lucky back to Punjab, as his despicable deeds were maligning their image in Australia.

The happy-go-lucky bumpkin, taking his mission a bit too seriously, embarks on his journey accompanied by his friend, Tony Singh (Om Puri), who hates Happy for dragging him into it.

The high point of his journey is his chance meeting with Sonia (Katrina Kaif) with whom he falls in love, but upon reaching his destination, things take a precarious turn as he runs into a series of comic misadventures, leaving him penniless. He is fortunate to find warmth and affection in an elderly lady (Kirron Kher) who helps him meet Lucky.

In a strange turn of events, an attempt on Lucky's life is foiled by a well-intentioned Happy who fights off the attackers by risking his own life. Following the hilarious altercation, Lucky lands up in hospital paralyzed, and Happy, unexpectedly, finds the tables turned on him when he is expected to assume the role of the new 'kinng'!

The series of chaos, shocks and comic misunderstandings that ensue eventually result in redemption and an accidental wedding!

Shot in Punjab, Australia and Egypt, Singh Is Kinng marks superstar Akshay Kumar's re-entry into the action-comedy minefield. With plenty of romance, glamour, laugh-aloud moments and chartbusting music, it promises to be one of the most appealing and entertaining motion pictures of 2008.

Story

It is a story about Karan (Harman Baweja), a young, spirited, sporty boy who lives life off the rules and Sana (Priyanka Chopra), a young petite, shy girl who lives life by the rules. This develops into a magical love story.

Karan's uncle, Dr. Yatinder Khanna's (Boman Irani) much developed time machine finally works. Sana expresses her wish to travel ahead in time to Mumbai in the future

We land in Mumbai 2050 in the time machine... along with Uncle Yatinder, Rahul and Thea (Sana's younger brother and sister). Flying cars, 200 storey buildings, robots and sky rails have changed the very face of Mumbai.

Through a series of twists and turns, the time traveler Karan finds himself separating from his love. QT, a friendly femme robot and Boo, a small robotic teddy bear play their distinct roles in bringing their love story together but soon find themselves under the threat of the demi-god of the future, Dr. Hoshi.

Will Karan be able to overcome the threat of Dr. Hoshi and win his love and travel back in time?

Story
Ranbeer Talwar (Saif Ali Khan), one of the country's top industrialists, is a loner, not out of his free will but just because he lost everyone, he ever loved.
